Wow, what an incredible journey this year has been! At, @__almaslibres, we have empowered more than 2,500+ women through 176 sports programmes. We also launched our networking series, @conversationsforthecurious, uniting over 500+ women leaders and forged 15+ powerful collaborations to drive real change in the Barcelona community.
We embraced quiet strength in 2024, but make no mistake - 2025 will be the year our voices will resonate louder than ever as we continue to break down barriers and amplify women’s perspectives.

Skate Social Club
Last Sunday, we hosted our free monthly Skate Social Club, bringing the Barcelona community together to share our passion for surfskating and skateboarding.
𝙳𝙸𝙳 𝚈𝙾𝚄 𝙺𝙽𝙾𝚆? Our monthly Skate Social Club is a space for both women and men to try surfskate and skateboard, while all our core programs remain focused on empowering women.
These sessions wouldn’t be possible without the support of our collaboraters @yowsurf and @jartskateboards.

A Brother in Spirit
Meet @gonzalomoragas, originally from Barcelona, one of our dedicated coaches and an integral part of the Almas Libres community for over 3 years. His journey with us is a testament to the power of men standing alongside women in the fight for true #equity and justice. Through surf and surfskate, Gonzalo has empowered countless women, and his influence goes far beyond coaching.
By involving men like Gonzalo in our DNA of women’s empowerment, we’re redefining what it means to create lasting change. It’s not just about support - it’s about walking the journey together, breaking barriers, and shifting mindsets. His passion and dedication even inspired our Founder to recently return to the ocean after years away from the waves! 🌊
